Zen Vibes & Life Hacks: Wellness Strategies in the LIS Community

Description:
Join SJSU iSchool's Health and Wellness Ambassador, Loida Garcia-Febo, as she shares wellness strategies for the LIS Community including her Librarians' Wellness Era: Wellness Trends for 2024 video series for the SJSU iSchool, strategies for increasing wellness and relaxation, and leads a session including deep breathing exercise, movement, mindfulness meditation, and guided imagery. The session includes examples of how librarians in academia are boosting their wellness, strategies to include wellness into daily routine in the workplace and daily life, and apps and websites that allow librarians to develop wellness habits in easy steps. The gentle movement session can be done sitting or standing and includes moving the torso and arms above the body. There will be a time for questions and answers. For information about SJSU iSchool wellness efforts visit our website https://ischool.sjsu.edu/health-and-wellness and our wellness related videos on the SJSU YouTube channel https://youtu.be/mF2y54pFZ0s?feature=shared
